The Cleaning Process
- Cleaning process start at the furthest point from building entry.
- If Personal Protective Equipment is damaged at any point in the process, replace it and dispose of used items in a trash bag.
- Disposable wipes and mops are recommended and should be disposed of and sealed in trash bags after use.
- If reusable wipes and mops are used, they should be disposed of immediately and then sealed in trash bags once the job is complete or the bag is full.
- Sealed trash bags should be double-bagged prior to leaving the affected structure. Clean bags should be kept at the entry/exit point, where the double-bagging process is to be performed.
- All product containers and equipment should be disinfected prior to exiting the structure.
- Remove Personal Protective Equipment
- Launderable items should be returned to the facility for laundering
- Ensure items are laundered at 160° F for at least 25 minutes
- Between and after disinfecting all areas/facilities, used products and equipment should be disinfected and all used Personal Protective Equipment should be immediately thrown away.
